About Us

A bit of

Our Story

We’re two people from very different places, brought together by social justice, education, and love of sports (and many other things).  We’ve spent the last 10 years in New York City working with children ages 5-13.

We have set out on a 12-month journey to learn, teacher-to-teacher, about what others are doing day-in and day-out to provide their students with an incredible education.

Teaching is not meant to be boxed in. With that in mind, we are sharing stories and lessons from classrooms around the world to connect like-minded educators and to push all of us to better serve our students.

A Few of

Our beliefs

We believe schools should be places where children are nurtured and challenged, where they are given the space to discover their passions and realize their full potential.

We believe schools should be places that level the playing field between rich and poor, black and white, and all the shades in between.

We believe schools should be places that help connect, build, and serve communities.

We believe there is no more important, urgent, or honorable work than teaching the next generation.
